The lift was broken on the last day of my stay. The hotel takes a $200 additional deposit even though I paid for two night’s accommodation up front and in advance if my stay at the time I booked. I am told that it will take 5 to 7 working days for that money to be returned to me. So the hotel had the use of my money for a month in advance of my stay and then again for the deposit. It seems like I am being taken advantage of by adding to their weekly and monthly cash float. This soured the whole experience for me even though the location and the room itself were great.

Great decor. Staff lovely and helpful. Close to Britomart. Bed missing a bottom sheet and mattress protector was dirty and stained. Showed this to reception. Had apology and one dessert charge removed from our $800 plus bill for this inconvenience.

Excellent location. Close to Britomart and waterfront restaurants, bars and shops. Restaurant at Fable also very good (dinner)
