This property was very disappointing. It is not 5 stars, it’s in complete disrepair with over half of the rooms boarded up and unused. It’s in need of a complete renovation and I’d go so far as to say that it’s unsafe. Not ideal for anyone with young children with ponds full of stagnant water everywhere and no fences around the pools. Couldn’t swim in the beach

Great pool/view. Beautiful beach.
Resort needs renovation. Looks very outdated.. It looks like they are currently doing reno but when we were their nothing was happening maybe they wait till its low season.

Gorgeous location - best beach in Langkawi
Beautiful location out on a private limb from the rest of the island. Bit of a drive to get there but generally only RM45 to get anywhere by taxi. Can not fault the staff, hospitality, food & beverage selection (free breakfast is outstanding), cleaniness of the rooms & park like facilities. Only negative would be the buildings that have been closed down due to leaking. It appears to have lacked maintenance to the exterior of the buildings - clear evidence of mould on the plasterwork. Such a shame - it would have been an outstanding facility in its day. Apparently they are not repairing the closed down buildings & staff were unsure if they would be removed. Something needs to be done or it will continue to significantly distract from an otherwise beautiful resort

hotel looking tired but the staff is faultless
Pros:the pool , beach and excellent service
Cons:free shuttle, wifi to more areas even if not to the rooms. very expensive spa prices and bar prices
Location:every other thing outside of the resort require transportation . Taxis at MYR45 one way to anywhere. waterfalls are great. Geoforest tour worth it.
it was very relaxing and the staff from check in to the boys at the pool bar to the cleaning staff were so friendly. Food was good and just as well as the resort is pretty isolated and everything you want to do has added cost. no free shuttle to town. bike and kayak hire. Wifi was terrible and accessible only at the reading room area. PC's at the main reception area. The adult pool was great and the beach is private and truly relaxing. Happy hour started from 5.30-11pm! Just as well as prices was slightly over at normal hours. its now a 5 star service but 4plus star lodging.

Pros:swimming pools, green and lush tropical gardens, proximity to beach rig, friendly staff, helpful staff, buffet breakfast, tranquility, quiet, spacious
Cons:Was there for 1 week and beach out front was closed the whole time. As indicated by hoisting of red flag. Really. Beach resort and the beach closed.
Location:Nearby malay kampong for cheap eats and clothing stalls and various eco trips. Taxi hire available (very resonable) enables one to explore island
Spent 1 week at TRResort. Needed time out. Nice spacious room, very friendly and pleasant staff, eat in at resort, or nearby kampong, or further afield - the options endless. Excellent swimming pools......3 in total..... to cater for all needs, beautiful gardens, huge air conditioned reading room, relaible wifi, and great buffet breakfast. Nothing significant to complain about. A relaxing, safe, tropical holiday.

We loved our stay here overall. Having read reviews, I purchased a sim as there is no internet in the rooms - just in the library. The staff were the stars here, they were so smiling, friendly and warm. Not sure I would have brought my kids here, as it is really a chill out place. Our room, although showing signs of wear and tear (stained frayed couches, banged furniture) was gorgeous. We had two lounge rooms, two balconies (one garden, one beach), first floor but with amazing views. No lifts so first floor was high enough. We couldn't swim in the sea due to an undertow. Sometimes you can't swim due to box jellyfish. I wonder if anyone can ever swim there. The pools were lovely though. Bed was comfy, air con worked well. We had a car. I think if you are here for more than a few days you will need one to get away. If not, make sure you stop at the small supermarket at the roundabout as you head towards the hotel to save on mini bar prices, i.e. juice 1.70RM at the supermarket, 12RM at the hotel. We took a mangrove tour through the hotel, was sooo good. More expensive but more thorough and we loved it, well worth it. Meals there were good, the breakfast great but overall, it was the staff that made this hotel so special.
