Very good parking , well cared for everywhere, it was an all round an excellent motel. we will recommend and use again. It took us around 30mins to walk to the centre of the city .

Very clean and well presented room, grounds were immaculate and whole property well cared for. Loved the environmentally friendly touches like paper satchets of soap instead of plastic bottle.

Cosy yet spacious motel room. Very clean and lots of appreciated extras - bathrobes, herbal tea, coffee plunger... Great value.

Pros: It was a lockwood build. The motel was set out practically.
Cons: The seats could be set out differently so that you did not have to use the bed to watch the tv.
The motel was a pleasant place to stay, surprisingly fairly quiet as busy road nearby. Enjoyed our coastal walk, easy to get to from the motel.

A Real Motel That Ticks All The Boxes.

Pros: Everything about it was good, Friendly staff and superbly clean motel accommodation. Handy to town and nearby eateries / bars and function centers.
Cons: The Lockwood Manor Motel is an example of the perfect motel - nothing needed to be improved.
Location: Perfect location. Handy to New Plymouth central city amenities, restaurants, attractions - everything easy to drive or walk to from this location.
Handy to town and access right onto the main road into and out of New Plymouth. Stayed at the Lockwood Manor Motel about eight or nine years back and found it a great experience - from memory it was exceptionally comfortable clean and tidy then. Fast forward to 2018 and we were blown away that it appeared even more cleaner and tidier and in better condition. The old Lockwood all-timber construction might be a dated architectural technique today, but the Lockwood Manor is proof of its lasting appeal and pleasing charm. The motel unit was beautifully clean, top to bottom, bathroom to bedroom to kitchenette, and looking at the garden surroundings, you can tell the proprietors have real pride in their property. Typical motel-type parking available immediately outside each unit. Can't go wrong really. It's a motel that ticks all the boxes. Fantastic place. We had the perfect stay. We highly recommend the Lockwood Manor Motel for any family or traveler looking for comfortable spacious units for business or pleasure in New Plymouth.

We love staying here. It's in a great location, is clean, tidy and has great sized rooms. The staff are lovely and always so accommdating. As always - thank you for having us!

Comfy and clean

Pros: Dressing gowns
Cons: Privacy at back when in loo and shower it feels if people outside could see in.
Location: Close to CBD and all main highlights.
Lacking a bit of privacy at back of unit when you are using toilet and shower. Very clean and provided dressing gowns for guests. Enjoyed the comfy bed and handy to everything.

Thank-you for your review. - The windows are not see through as it is bathroom glass but I will look at getting some blinds put up in those lower bathrooms.
