Impossible to read in the room at night. Bedside lamps were useless. No on demand tv. It said there was but only had Sky and no staff member knew to access it on demand. Terrible for a top class hotel. Had two different rooms, both had cracked sinks, one no door stop on the bathroom door so it smashed into the bath. Overall very disappointing. Elsewhere next time.

I was travelling alone so it was great to have so much friendly support for the four nights I was there. The whole hotel is stunning. Both breakfast and evening meals are of a very high standard as is the service. I was looked after in the restaurant by a lovely lady called Michaela - nothing was too much trouble for her. My accomodation was excellent - comfortable with lots of thoughtful extras like bottled water. I can recommend the full body massage - wonderful and relaxing by a lovely lady with magic hands. If I was to revisit Queenstown I would not hesitate to come back to the Sofitel - great experience all round which I will certainly recommend to others. Also the location was perfect for shops and local restaurants. The “be kind” message is certainly there. 😊
