The 18-acre olive grove estate – which offers bed & breakfast accommodation - is ideally located, with the area’s internationally acclaimed vineyards (including Alana Estate, also famous for its music concerts), and an excellent golf course all within a short walking distance.
The tranquil grounds are planted with a wide variety of fruit and nut trees, including: apples, figs, feijoas, peaches, pomegranates and lemons and pine nuts, pistachios, almonds, hazelnuts, macademias and walnuts. Guests are invited to walk around the grounds and take in the scenery.

Martinborough is on the Classic New Zealand Wine Trail and is famous for its Pinot Noir (Bordeaux style) wine. With a wide array of varietals available and a number of vineyards and olive groves to visit, wine and olive oil tasting should be firmly on the list of things to do when you’re here.
Cycle around the vineyards – bikes are available from the Village Café - or take a photographic wine tour. Make a whole day of it, indulge with a gourmet lunch or platter at one of the vineyards – or just do nothing, make up your own platter and soak up the views and tranquility from the patio and Spa Pool at Akrotiri Estate!
There are a number of good restaurants in and around Martinborough Wine Village offering food for all tastes and budgets. The Wairarapa area also has amazing scenery and outdoor activities:
