Recently renovated to a high standard of quality, we are proud to welcome you to the Ashbury Park Motel. Located in an ideal location, close to all amenities and only a stroll arcoss the park to the beach, we are the first motel you will find entering Timaru from the north.
We have 8 recently refurbished units, 7 units with one bedroom and one large 3-bedroom unit, each with a fully equipped kitchen and cooking facilities.
Units are professionally cleaned and serviced daily. We take pride in our high standards and are confident you will be happy with our service.
There is ample off-street parking available, suiting all vehicle sizes, trucks & buses included. We also have locked storage facilities available for bikes etc.
Directly across the road is one of Timaru's largest parks - Ashbury Park. Edging one side of the park is Timaru's coastline, where there is a coastal board-walk along to the beach; the other side you will find yourself a stone's throw away from a range of eating establishments, including restaurants, fast-food options and a supermarket.

The motel is situated next to the beautiful and spacious Ashbury Park, where you will be within walking distance to a number of Timaru's attractions. At your doorstep (across the park) is a scenic boardwalk along the coast to the beach and Caroline Bay. There is good fishing off the rocks along the way. Caroline Bay has a number of attractions especially during the summer months when there is a carnival running. Mini golf, a children's play pool and rides are some of the attrations. Caroline Bay is home to some quality cafes and restaurants also.
Maori Park pool (olympic size) is 10mins walk from the motel. Aigantighe art gallery is a 5 min drive and the bay's rose garden (with nearly 1200 roses), overlooked by Timaru's piazza is all within walking distance.
Hoyts movie theatre is just off the main street in the town centre, which is a 5min drive.
Ashbury Park is home to a number of sports teams who play in the weekend. It is also home to model aircraft enthusiasts who utilize part of the park to practise. Most of the time the park is quiet and is a great place to go for a run or casual stroll.
