Tahunanui Beach is only a 5 minute walk away and there are many other beaches and rivers in the region to enjoy.
Into walking?
How about a pleasant stroll round the city centre or a walk to the Centre of New Zealand.
Like something more adventuresome?
There are many walks and tramps to do in the nearby National Parks or do one out of the Walk books available at the reception which include some lesser known ones. The choice is yours, the options endless.
Or for a real adrenalin rush there is always hang gliding, flying a helicopter or stunt plane or perhaps a sky wire adventure.
Perhaps water sports are more to your liking
There are many to choose from - kayaking, sailing fishing, cruising, or you can even hire your own boat.
Not into physical activities?
How about a tour round the many art and craft studios or boutique wineries. At the same time you can enjoy the beautiful rural countryside and soak in the atmosphere that is Nelson
Or maybe you would prefer a visit to the many historical houses, gardens and museums. You may even like to look into the history of the Nelson province as it is one of the oldest in New Zealand.

- dripping gutter when it rained (no big deal)
- Just a nice relaxed place to stay, and not too far from shops etc

- Close to airport, cafe's and beach. Ten minute drive to Nelson CBD.
- Cannot think of anything. The motel certainly met our needs.
- The cafe's, especially the Beach Cafe five minutes walk from the motel
