Dominating the eastern skyline is the spectacular Te Apiti and Tararua wind farms. You can drive to the Te Apiti lookout which gives stunning panoramic views of the Manawatu and Tararua Regions. Situated just 1.6 km from the central city, you can enjoy a leisurely stroll into town, however as Palmerston North has some great shopping you may want to grab a cab to get you and your purchases home! Pop across the road and visit the Terrace End Shops, call in for a meal at the English Pub or pick up a takeaway and relax in the comfort of your room.
