Grand View House is an historic bed and breakfast hotel established in 1889 by the Murrell family. It is set in 3 acres of beautiful gardens and lawns on the edge of Lake Manapouri and has magnificent views of the lake and the mountains beyond. Manapouri is the gateway for Doubtful Sound excursions and an ideal base from which to explore Fiordland. There are four guest rooms each with ensuite bathroom providing guests with spacious and comfortable accommodation. Each room is individually furnished reflecting the history of the property. There is also a guest sitting room, complete with a collection of books, magazines and historic paintings and photographs.
