The sweeping lawn and lovely old trees which frame Hartley Homestead, prepare one for the gracious accommodation within. A grand 1900s mud brick homestead set on the banks of the picturesque Clutha River, Hartley Homestead is just a few minutes stroll from the historic gold mining township of Clyde. Clyde is fast becoming a destination in its own right, being the perfect place to spend at least a couple of nights either at the beginning or at the completion of the Otago Central Rail Trail and its proximity to wineries and ski fields makes it a great place to stay all year round. Hosts, Melanie and Rex have chosen to relinquish their high pressure city lives for the more sedate pace of Central Otago.
