Hilltop Ruapehu is nestled on six private and secluded acres, yet minutes from the cafes and shops of Taumarunui - NZ's friendliest rural town.
The Lodge sleeps six persons. The Lodge has one queen suite with en-suite, one queen suite (both with LCD TV/DVD) and one double. All rooms have quality bedding, towels and robes. The Lodge is luxuriously furnished with well equipped kitchen, lounge with log box fire and fujitsu heating/air conditioning, as well as dining and a full laundry. Persian rugs and works of art from the hilltop collection make for cozy and original surroundings. There is a spa, sauna and an external library for guests of the lodge exclusive use. The lodge is set on its own grounds with a large terrace offering barbeque facilities.
The Cottage is ideal for a couple. It has a queen room with en-suite, quality bedding, towels and robes, kitchenette and living room with TV/DVD. The Cottage offers unsurpassed rural views from both the bedroom and living areas; both have French doors leading to a covered veranda.

There are walking tracks and picnic areas within the estate. Hilltop is an ideal base for visiting Lake Taupo, Waitomo Caves, The Kiwi House and the Tongariro Crossing. The Tongariro National Park is 25 min drive and the Whanganui National Park is 10 minutes drive from Hilltop. Skiing at Mt Ruapehu is about 40 min drive. Locally golf, fishing, kayaking, mountain bike riding, jet boat tours, quad tours and some delightful walks and cycle rides are available. The cafes and shops are 15 min walk away.
