The Lake Hawea Hotel has been operating for 25 years and is situated on the southern shores of Lake Hawea in a peaceful and picturesque location. Lake Hawea is 12km north of Lake Wanaka on the Wanaka/Haast highway. All our Hotel rooms have been fully renovated and are finished to the highest standard. We have 8 Hotel rooms each with a stunning view of the Lake. We have 3 studio rooms (two of which are wheelchair accessible). These rooms have a king bed which converts to two king singles. The studio rooms sleep 2 people. We also have 6 Family rooms which have a king bed downstairs which converts to two king singles and a double and single bed upstairs on a mezzanine level. All our Hotel rooms have private bathrooms, a balcony and tea & coffee making facilities. Our Lodge has 11 private rooms with 2 or 4 single bunk beds. There are shared bathroom and kitchen facilities. Linen and towels are provided. The Lake Hawea Hotel also offers a restaurant that is open all day every day and two spacious bars.

- The location is just amazing and the view from our bedroom window was fantastic
- The breakfast service was a little sluggish
- We would definitely stay here again if in the area, great spot for those who want viewsd and water based activity

- No fan upstairs. Extremely hot. Small window so little air could get in.
