All guests have exclusive hire of Mountain bikes to pedal the local tracks, and kayaks for use on Lake Roxburgh ~ just a stones throw. Nearby excellent Salmon & Trout fishing in crystal clear high country rivers & lakes, close to the Otago Central Rail Trail for walking or cycling, a short drive to local wineries & vineyards, 4 wheel drive touring the wonderful hills and outback, horse trekking, winter skiing, challenging 18 hole golf course nearby, as well as just relaxing in the peace & quiet with a good read and glass of Central Otago wine.

A fantastic venue to base yourself if exploring the local walking tracks, the Bullock track on the Old Man Range, the River Town Walk, the restored Horseshoe Bend Bridge walkway, the historic Lonely Graves or the Commissioners Track
