We are a "stone's throw" away from the fabulous surf beach of Whangamata, for surfing & swimming. The estuary has safe swimming area for children, kayaking & jet skiing.

Fishing charters are available for deep sea fishing, or there are plenty of spots for the recreational fisherman. Great bush walks for the serious enthusiast, or there are leisure walks for those who prefer something a little easier. There is nothing nicer than to walk along Whangamata beach first thing in the morning. There are a number of mountain bike tracks around Whangamata, to suit all riding abilities. There are 2 golf courses - one a 9 hole and the other 18 holes.

There are several art & craft studios scattered around the area. We are about 1 hours drive to Hot Water beach & Cathedral Cove, and if you want to do a trip right around the Coromandel Peninsula, you can do it in a day from here.

There are several restaurants & cafes in Whangamata, all offering excellent food.
