Both self contained three bedroomed cottages and two backpackers lodges are in the Alpine village of Arthurs Pass. Our cottages are set on a quiet street surrounded by forest in the National Park. They are self contained with kitchen, at least one bathroom and lounge with fireplace and wood supplied. Wireless internet available at the cottages and a coin Laundry.
Our Main Lodges consist of a mix of private rooms (doubles, twins, triples and quads) and larger shared dorm rooms. All rooms have shared kitchen, bathrooms and lounge areas. Both Lodges have internet kiosks, wireless internet and a laundry. The Lodges are centrally located in Arthur's Pass village. Buses stop outside the office and its a short 200 metre walk to the DOC Visitor Information Centre and 400m to the Train Station.
The Village is surrounded by the forests and Mountains of the Arthur's Pass National Park. We have the Alpine Parrot - Kea at our doorsteps, and you can hear Kiwi in the forests around us. There is a large variety of hiking opportunities all within walking distance of our front door.

There is heaps of walking potential here - from a short hour long walk to a waterfall, to the famous Avalanche Peak, through to a myriad of multi-day tramps in the Arthur's Pass National Park. We are right on the Main Divide of the Southern Alps with the West Coast forest just 5km up the road. This provides easy access to the dryer Eastern uplands with it's Beech Forest and Limestone rock/cave landscape, or to the Rainforest of the West Coast. The Village is set at 740m and we are surrounded by 1800m peaks, with the popular Mt Rolleston coming in at 2200m just up the road. Mt Rolleston is a popular "learners" Mountaineering peak.
