We are a modern backpackers in the heart of Hokitika only a short walk to the beach and river. We have 3 dorm rooms and 4 double rooms in the main building that have a well equipped kitchen and bathroom. There is also a large lounge where you can hang out with like minded travellors and play board games, watch movies from our DVD colloection, read a book or use the low cost email facilities. We can help you book activities around the area including Glacier walks,Skydiving,Rafting or anything else you could want to do. We are located opposite the I-Site on the cnr of Weld Street and Sewell Street above the Jade Factory which for people staying here can get 10% discount on purchases. Our balcony overlooks the historic Hokitika clock tower which has some stunning sunsets and sunrises. We also have 2 self contained units that sleep up to 5 people in each. They have there own T.V,Kitchen and bathroom, perfect for the family or a group of freinds. One of the self contained units has disabled access.

You can check out any of the Jade carving store's in Hokitika while you are here plus the beach and river walks are stunning especially as we have some of the best sunsets around.
Their is also walks around Lake Kaniere, Lake Mahinapua as well as the Famous Hokitika Gorge.
The National Kiwi centre is open daily to veiw live kiwi birds or ancient Tuataras and giant eels.
The West Coast Historical Museum is only a short walk or wiat until it's dark and check out the Glow worm dell.

We are also a great base for the Glaciers as they are a short 2 hour drive and the sightseeing is stunning along the way.
