Just over 2 hrs drive from Auckland, Hamilton or Tauranga, the Mussel Bed is an ideal base to explore the beautiful Coromandel. Our guest wing is nestled amidst native bush, gardens & streams. 5 mins walk to Cooks Beach. Hot Water Beach & Cathedral Cove only 10 mins drive. The famous Eggsentric Cafe is nearby & the passenger ferry to Whitianga at the end of our road. We have 3 luxurious suites each with their own ensuite & private deck. Choose from 2 spacious double rooms with queensize beds - the Victorian or the Pacifica Suite or the Beachhut Suite accommodates 2-4 people, with twin beds on upstairs loft & queensize bed below. Guests can enjoy a delicious continental breakfast served in the garden, deck or in the privacy of their room.
