Not all activities have to cost and many are tailored to families but if you want to spend then Rotorua has the Adventure, Culture and Cuisine on offer to make your holiday a memory.
Adventure: Mountain biking (ride New Zealand?s legendary tracks, we can assist with renting bikes and maps for trails), Sky diving, Zorbing, White Water Rafting
Culture: see a Kiwi, experience Rotorua?s world famous geothermal activity, bath in mud baths with mineral quality healing powers or learn about the New Zealand Maori culture, watch a traditional dance and dine on earth cooked hangi food. Fantastic!
Family: You cant go past Luging as a great family activity, racing each other down the slopes of the mountain on carts! Or visit Fairy Springs and view the native birds, Kiwi, and farm animals.
Cuisine: head to Eat Street at the bottom of Tutanekai Street and enjoy any one of the numerous Indian, European, Japanese, Chinese or local cuisines. Alternatively there are numerous groovey cafes hidden among the town stores for you to discover and saviour.
Free: not everything has to cost! Why not feed the trout for free at the Trout Hatchery, go for a walk around the Green & Blue Lakes, view the geothermal mud pools at Kuirau Park in the centre of town, dangle your feet in the hot water outside the Visitor Information centre on Fenton street or take a picnic down to the Lake Front and enjoy some family time whilst feeding the ducks!

- The pool would have been wonderful for a young family. We would have used it if we had time.
- The spa bath looked very basic and was separate to the bathroom.
- You can walk to the supermarket (a few minutes) and the lakefront is not too far to walk/stroll to.
