The Lodge features three double bedrooms one which is an adjoining room. All rooms have queen-sized beds supplied with quality linen, towels, robes and toiletries. A fold-out single bed is also available. A generous cooked and continental breakfast is provided with additional meals by arrangement. A large outdoor deck area features a BBQ and outdoor entertaining area complete with an outdoor sound system. Wireless broadband is available, a multi-gym, rowing machine, 3 road/mountain bikes and jogging circuit are available for the fitness minded. Road/Mountain Bikes are also available for guest use Surf City Lodge is themed around Gisborne's reputation as a surfing mecca and rooms feature vintage surfboards and surfing memorabilia feature throughout the Lodge.

The whole of the Gisborne and Eastland area is steeped in history from the very first discovery by Captain Cook so there are many historical sites to visit.

For many visitors Gisborne's reputation as the country's Chardonnay capital is enough to draw them here.

Probably the main draw card is the laid-back outdoor pursuits like surfing, swimming, diving and fishing that continuously draw people here.

The area has many seasonal attractions such as the Rythmn and Vines festival over New Years the Wine and Food festival and many others.

Tourist attractions such as the Rere Falls natural slide, a visit to the site of the filming of the movie 'Whale Rider' are all within close proximity of Gisborne City.

The city also has many cafes, restaurants bars and interesting retail shops for those seeking a little retail therapy.

Many of the local tours can be arranged through the lodge or through the local information centre.
