The Retreat is situated on a 10 acre peninsula with just 9 units all overlooking The Bay with amazing uninterrupted sea views.
The private bush setting of our accommodation allows you to see native NZ birds at close range whilst being only minutes from the Paihia town centre and an extensive range of Bay of Islands cruises, activities and cafes. The Retreat is a relaxed and private alternative to motel and hotel accommodation.
The panoramic sea views and coastal location are breathtaking. The Retreat has 1 studio and 8 spacious 1 and 2-bedroom units with full kitchens, decks and stunning sea views over the Bay of Islands.
The Retreat overlooks the magnificent Bay of Islands and Te Haumi beach. Set just off the main road on a 4-hectare (10-acre) bush-covered peninsula, our quiet, private and secure accommodation awaits you.
It offers friendly informal and sincere hospitality to all their guests. It is a great place to come back to after a busy days sightseeing in The Bay.

Cruising around The islands in The Bay of Islands either by Motor boat or Sailing; out to the Hole in the Rock; Diving; Fishing; Golf; kayaking; parasailing; sky diving; Historic Russell and Kerikeri; Restaurants and walking the many tracks around.the Bay.and of course the famous day trip to Cape Reinga.
