Tongariro Lodge is situated on the banks of the Tongariro River, world famous for trout fishing. Catering for visiting trout fishermen is the Lodges specialty. Tongariro Lodge provides experienced, resident fly fishing guides, along with special access, by boat, helicopter and 4 wheel drive, to some of the best trout fishing in the world.
Being at the foot of the World Heritage Tongariro National Park the Lodges activities also include, New Zealand's most popular guided one day walk the Tongariro Alpine Crossing, guided heli-hiking and scenic walks, guided white water rafting, mountain biking, heli-sightseeing, snow skiing, international golf courses, horse trekking, 4 x 4 biking, massage and hot pools.
