The sandy beaches of Tauranga Bay, Taupo Bay and Coopers Beach are all nearby. Golf courses nearby include Whangaroa, Kauri Cliffs, Kerikeri and Waitangi.
Whangaroa Harbour offers good recreational fishing, diving, harbour cruises, eco walks, kayaking and sailing almost year round.

Waimanu Lodge is the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the views for a day or so whilst en route to the Far North including Doubtless Bay, Karikari Peninsula, Kaitaia, Ninety Mile Beach Cape Reinga.
You may prefer to stay and relax at Waimanu Lodge overlooking the Whangaroa Harbour - a magnificent picturesque inland harbour with a relaxed fishing village atmosphere. Protected by dramatic rock formations, the harbour offers most all weather boating,fishing and not infrequent dolphin sightings. Harbour tours and fishing charters are available through local operators.
The St Pauls Rock scenic reserve walk is right on our doorstep, offering magnificent views of Whangaroa Harbour from the top.
