The restored Waimarie Paddle Steam Boat lets you discover the history of the Whanganui River while taking you on a 2 hour cruise.

The Bason's Botanic Gardens consist of 45ha of diverse flora and offer many recreational opportunities.Visit the Orchid House and experience many rare and exotic places to enjoy yourself.

Virginia Lake is the perfect place to take a walk and feed the ducks and swans. The colourful flowers in the winter gardens will take your breath away.

Durie Hill hosts the 33m Durie Hill Tower with 176 steps to climb. As a reward for climbing the steps you can see the South Island, Mt Taranaki and Mt Ruapehu.

Our children's playground at the Kowhai Park is for the young to enjoy and for the elderly to admire.

On site we have a games room with table tennis, air hockey, pool tables and electronic games. We keep the swimmming pool at 30 degrees from September to April. Relax in our indoor private spa pool or have great fun on the 14 x 9m jumping pillow.

You can also launch your boat, jet ski and kayaks from the concrete ramp.
