Placed well in Auckland.

Pros: Good for brief stay in the city.
Cons: Lacked any charm or comforts. Bathroom requires some maintenance.
Location: Harbour, bars, restaurants
Walking distance to harbour and other city sites.

Staff unhelpful, noisey night club til early hours during a Friday night stay below in the streets. Left an item of clothing behind, emailed Hotel to try and get back, sadly no reply after three emails sent.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Excellent location with major attractions in 15 min. walking distance. The whole facility appears a fair bit aged but room was clean and everything was functional. Ideal for a short term stay when all you need is a clean room and a good bed.

Close to city

Needs full length mirror in the room and more comfortable seating. Only had enough lounge seating for three people and we are a family of 4.

Great location

Pros: The staff members are fabulous, the location is unrivalled and it was spotless
Cons: The furniture was run down and broken. The couch was so broken you were sitting on the timber frame and the dining chairs and table were also broken.
Location: Location is perfect. Everything you want in the CBD and harbour is within walking distance.
The apartments are so well located it is a pity that the furnishings are so dated and in summer there is a problem with ventilation. If you open the windows it is extremely noisy and if you close them it is too warm as there is no air-conditioning. The staff are absolutely fantastic and the apartment was spotless so I cannot fault it on either of those measures, however, the apartment we were in is in dire need of new furniture the lounge was so uncomfortable to sit on as the cushioning was non-existent and left you sitting on the wooden frame. If you aren't expecting luxury you will be fine here. I would be less happy if I was staying for a long time.

Hot Summer Stay and no Aircon

Pros: The view was nice and its close to downtown and the Spark Arena
Cons: provide aircon
Hotels without aircons are hotels we plan to avoid

Stay Away!

Pros: Nothing.
Cons: See above comments.
Traveling on business and booked based on where an associate was staying. After arrival/check-in I proceeded to my room. Cost was $235 USD/night. Very small efficiency unit. No air conditioning, limited towels available, very uncomfortable bed with curtains falling off of the window. A small floor stand fan was provided. The window would not open so I needed to leave the sliding glass door open the entire evening (no screen). It tends to rain in the evenings, so the rain would come in or I would need to shut the door and continue to endure the hot & sticky room. Very slow internet was provided. While I was required to check out by 10 AM, the internet was shut not available that morning. Centrally located to the harbor, easy walk. I DEFINITELY WOULD NOT RECOMMEND OR CONSIDER RETURNING TO THIS FACILITY.

Very disappointing

We were looking forward to our night in Auckland and chose the Harbour View Oaks based on our experience at Oaks apartments in Australia. Unfortunately we were extremely disappointed. Whilst we got the view we asked for and your staff were very friendly and polite, the state of the room was not up to standard. Our first impression was poor when we walked into the room. The curtains were not on the hooks correctly and had holes in them, the couch was stained, walls very badly marked and the dishwasher was beeping. On closing the dishwasher our power went out to the room. Other maintenance issues were only one light was working in the bathroom, security lock on door not working, bathroom sink was blocked and shower grout was black with mould. Overall this room was grotty, and felt it. We believe that for $280 AUD per night our room should have been clean and in much better condition. We are extremely disappointed and will think twice before booking with Oaks again.
