Pros: Only location.
Cons: Checking in process - when you are the customer it should be easy !
The most difficult checking in process I have ever encountered in 40 years of world travel - calls from USA & key had to be collected from a different location. Unit had no air conditioning. Unit had no tea, coffee, sugar etc Used soap from previous guest was in the shower !!!!!!!!!!! Furnishing was below par

Avoid this place if you can

Pros: The waterfront location is nice.
Cons: They should be up front on WOTIF about all charges. They should perform maintenance. They should communicate with their guests
Location: On the waterfront and handy for down town activities
I booked this hotel via WOTIF but it is managed by Pelican Executive Suites. I booked a 2 bed 2 bath luxury apartment. Pelican require your flight numbers and arrival times in advance and you must provide 1 hours notice of wanting to check in so that their representative can meet you. despite adhering to all of their rules, there is no representative. You receive a long text telling you to find a key from a security office. The rom was 2 bed and 1 bath and old and tired. When we tried to take a shower, the shower overflowed as the drain was blocked with human hair and soap scum. I spent the next 3 days trying to get someone from Pelican to resolve the situation. They were hard to get hold of (never answering the phone) and did not ring back when they said they would. In the end they could not explain why they had put us in this apartment, they could not arrange for it to be cleaned and they could not move us to somewhere more suitable. After many emails they agreed to drop 1 nights charge and the $100 cleaning fee off my bill. I will not book with Pelican or this establishment ever again.

Great Location

Pros: The location of the hotel was wonderful. It was so much fun to sit and watch all the comings and goings of the ferries at the wharf.
Cons: The apartment had no coffee making facilities, of any kind, which is kind of amazing. Many things can be forgiven, but not this.
Location: The waterfront in Auckland is great. Easy access to motorways and downtown, plus destinations by ferry.
Getting information on how to pick up the key was a little cloak and dagger. I recieved email instructions on the day we arrived in NZ, which was also our check-in date; if I didn't have internet access, it may have been more complicated. Picking up the key, however, was actually very easy, once we knew where to go. Our booking was supposed to have 2 twin beds in the second bedroom, but only had one queen. Luckily, there was a fold out couch in the living room, but unfortunately, no sheets. We recieved the sheets on our 3rd and final night staying there. We really enjoyed the location of the apartment, but unfortunately for us, there was major renovation work being done on the apartment below, so during the day there was alternating hammering and sawing, punctuated by periods of what I can only describe as pneumatic drilling; kind of upset the ambience. Further, as the workers had set up a tarpaulin tent on the deck outside to work in, we were kept awake most of the night (on 2 consectutive nights) by rain and wind causing the tent to flap and bang about. Nobody's fault, really, but did add to our frustrations. Ironically, the person on the fold out bed in the living room was far enough away from the noise to not be woken.

Great disappointment

Pros: nothing
Cons: a total renovation of the appartment
Location: the only good thing
We checked in an appartment which had nothing to do with the picture advertised. Whilst we liked the location once we settled in we found furniture broken or missing. Dirty walls and a moldy shower. Some furniture arrived whilst we were there some never arrived like an outside table. We received many standard emails from the US travel agents about what we were allowed to do and not to do but none was forthcoming to our complains. We emailed photos which showed all the shortcomings and can only hope the renovate this appartment before they let it out again. Will never deal with this company ever again but there are other good ones who rent out true luxury appartements in the same waterfront buildings as we learnt.

Great waterfront location

Pros: great outdoor area with huge private balcony over looking the waterfront.
The apartment was great I would go back great facilities if staying for a longer trip. The only issue was that it was difficult to get the keys as there isn't a reception being private apartments it would have been difficult for people from out of town.

A great place in Auckland

Pros: The location, size and facilities which included central Auckland parking.
Cons: You need to set aside time prior to arrival to meet the booking agency paperwork requirements.
Location: Very central to the Auckland ferries, restaurants and easy to get out of town by car - something not to be underestimated in Auckland.
The Waterfront Suites on the pier in Auckland are a great place to stay. Central, convenient and well apointed apartment on the water in Auckland Harbour. The suite had two bedrooms, two bathrooms, kitchen, dining, laundry and parking for very comparable pricing with a hotel. The booking agency needs some up front paperwork and you need to be talking to the on-site agent to get into the complex but after that a great place to stay. Ideal if you were staying a little longer than a few nights but still great for a short stay.
