Hi Michelle You are right that we could on most cases accommodated you in more suitable rooms. Unfortunately we have been waiting on new furniture to arrive since August. We expect this to finally show up this week so we will be able to finish off the refurbished rooms and get all of our rooms in use. So hopefully next visit we will be able to fit you in more comfortably. I am glad to hear that you enjoy the stay though and thank you for coming to visit.

Kia Ora fishwife, thank you for the feedback. It's good to read that you enjoyed your upgrade and on of our superior suites. Arriving on the last day of the season is always challenging and as much as we tried to provide the same experience as in the middle of the season, it is hard to get it out of your head after being in the Lodge for a whole season. It's good to read that you think we are not that remote as most vendors and tradies tend to disagree as soon as we need something rather urgently. The vegetable garden indeed got neglected at the end of the season, it was absolutely intended though as there are major changes happening in there over the winter with a re-design due.
