Sea Breeze is an excellent B&B and Jos and Robert are friendly and welcoming hosts. They give you the travel experience of staying with good friends. The location of the property on the beach on Oneroa Bay in the town of Russell is fabulous. The room overlooks the Bay and north to the Pacific Ocean beyond. It is a very short walk to the beach and swimming in the warm water is a treat. My wife, who rarely goes into the water, could not resist the call of the surf. Overall a great experience. Thanks Jos and Robert.

Relax. Chill. Restore.
I had an exceptional holiday in Russell and the surrounding areas, and staying at the Sea Breeze Lodge added to the holiday! The hosts were amazingly accommodating, informative and flexible. I wish my visit was longer to enjoy more of the area of where the Lodge is located.

Husband and I wanted to break away and have some peace & quiet as we just got back from a month overseas holiday with family and felt we needed a break. But we were constantly interupted by the hosts. It felt as if we were visiting them rather than having our own break away. There is no coffee/tea facilities in the room and no bar fridge. The view was amazing.

Jos and Rob are the best hosts we have come across. They are super-welcoming, made us feel at home immediately and we had many long and interesting discussions on many things both related to both NZ and global affairs. Their accommodation is magnificent with the view over Long Beach and distant islands being unbeatable. They served us a wonderful breakfast every morning with this view in front of us. On nice mornings we sat out on the verandah overlooking the beach. One morning we were lucky to see a pod of Orcas about 20 feet off the beach. We were able to follow them the full length of the beach. Vacations don't get much better than this and hosts don't get much better than Jos and Rob. I would go back in a heartbeat.

A great B&B
We got a great welcome at this B&B from the owner. Our room was small but nicely furnished and decorated, with direct access to a balcony offering the sort of view that touches the soul. We fell asleep at night to the sound of the waves crashing on the sandy beach just a few metres away, and woke to a great breakfast. I would definitely recommend staying at Sea Breeze Lodge in particular, and on Long Beach in general: Russel is just a short walk over the hill but it's nice to be able to escape from it after dinner and walk back to Sea Breeze along the deserted beach.

Great place. Close to Russell. Awesome view.
After making the trip to the bay of islands for the coastal classic race. The hosts were hugely accommodating and very friendly but not intrusive. Serving afternoon tea on the balcony then Even dropped us off over the hill in Russell for the evening. We had the options for breakfast of either a continental breakfast when we were ready or name a time and they would cook bacon and eggs for us. Very clean lodge and with a large room and balcony was easy to sit and relax for the afternoon with the north facing view and overlooking the bay of islands. Plenty of parking and just across the road from a white sandy beach.

Really nice accommodation directly at the beach. The owners are very friendly and helpful. The room had a stunning 180 degree view on the ocean. There is a quiet beach right in front of it. It is absolutely as lovely as the pictures tell. The breakfast was very delicious and more than we could possibly eat. I highly recommend this place!

Nous sommes restés une seule nuit. Jos et Robert ont été des hôtes très accueillants et sympathiques. Le site est superbe en bord de plage. La seule petite remarque est que nous aurions aimé avoir une salle de bain attenante à la chambre.
