This is an unusual pick from Hotels.com. It turns out to be an apartment rental in a small side street; one needs to call in advance to get a key and no-one seems to speak English. If Hotels.com prepares the individual for this, one can handle it, but the unseasoned traveler would probably not manage it. The accommodation, once one has jumped through the hoops in Chinese, is actually very practical and would be fine for a businessperson spending and extended time in Beijing, as long as s/he did not mind staying in an area with few foreigners and no access to a restaurant choice (there is an OK pizza joint close by).

Parhaat päivänsä nähnyt asunto ihan kivalla paikalla. Asunnossa toimiva keittiö ja pesukone. Sisäänkirjautuminen vaikeaa. Kukaan ei ollut sovittuun aikaan sovitussa paikassa eikä meille vaivauduttu ilmoittamaan että ollaanko edes tulossa. Onneksi saimme jonkun paikallisen soittamaan asunnon vuokraajalle joka sitten lähetti toisen henkilön avaamaan meille ovet.

蠻近地鐵站，附近也有不少吃店，屋主回覆非常迅速，但就要自己多準備一齊生活用品如飲用水或轉插器，整體來說還不錯

中国語話者にはとても便利なホテルです。地下鉄東直門駅から徒歩15分ほどかかります。マンションの一室をホテルとして貸し出しているようで、生活に必要なものは一通りそろっています。無人チェックイン、チェックアウトで、オーナーとは we chatを通じてコミュニケーションしました。マンションに入るためには看守に中国語で伝えて、門を開けてもらう必要がありました。チェックインが翌日の午前７時になってしまいましたが、快く対応してくれ、またチェックアウトの時間も次のお客さんが遅くなりそうなのでゆっくりで大丈夫ですよ、ととても親切で助かりました。閑静な住宅街にあり、清潔で、駅から少し遠いのが難点ですが長期の滞在にはよいと思います。中国語は必須です。
