Very good place to stay in Cape Town

Pros: Convenience to V and A waterfront and arrangement of tours, e.g. to Cape Point, Cape Town city and Table Mountain.
Cons: N.A.
Location: V and A waterfront has a great range of shopping, restaurants, arts and crafts and the Mandela Gateway to Robben Island.
City Lodge Hotel is conveniently situated near the V and A waterfront; very helpful staff. The Empyrean Travel desk was very helpful for airport shuttle and for booking tours.

Pros: Convenient for waterfront
Cons: Hotel facilities OK but building site next door was not so good.
Location: Close to all down town facilities - Robben Island ferry, V & A waterfront, bars and restaurants etc
Close to the waterfront but major building work going on right outside your window. Will be much nice once this is complete. Breakfast is extra and pretty standard Hotel fare - we chose instead to drive towards the Cape and had an excellent breakfast in Simonstown instead.
