Nice location & hotel, no aircon or fly screens

Pros: Very clean. Staff were lovely. Gardens were well maintained, views surrounding were gorgeous. Cute little village within walking distance
Cons: Need flyscreens on windows and doors. Air conditioner would help also
Beautiful location, gorgeous views, hotel was clean. Staff were really lovely even though they were fill ins as regular staff were away. Only downfall was no air-conditioning and no fly screens on any windows or doors. Bugs/mosquitoes were so bad that we were bitten many times. Would recommend though as the location and hotel itself were beautiful

Nice room and friendly staff. Conveniently located between Maunganui and Coopers Beach. Weather was quite hot and humid and so a fan or aircon would have made the nights more comfortable to sleep.

Lovely little hotel

Pros: Good facilities and friendly staff
Cons: Signage and access to rear car park
Location: Right on inlet with views of sea and boats. Small town nearby (just about walking distance) with shops and restaurants
Good facilities with bonus of a small swimming pool. Very handy for lots of wonderful beaches nearby. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Beautiful location - Lovely room

We stayed for 3 nights and can’t fault the hosts ( who I understand were looking after the motel for the owners). It was nice after a day out and about to return to this very peaceful location - while minutes away from shops, cafes etc. Our room was very comfy and clean - the only complaint I have is that with guests either side and above and below us it was a bit noisy at times. Will definitely return.

Lovely Room - unhelpful staff

Pros: Very Clean, and well equipped!!
Cons: The helpfulness of the office person.
Location: Nice easy walk over to Mangonui, quiet.
We have stayed here before and it was an AMAZING experience! Unfortunately this time we were unhappy that the room upstairs was running around/jumping on or moving furniture etc (making lots of noise) until 3am in the morning. When we shared our disappointment with the lady at the reception she didn't seem phased, suggested that we could have gone up and asked them to be quiet - my 80 year old grandma, my 60 year old aunty, myself or my 6 year old son did not know who was in the room so no way were we going up! We suggested that it would have been good to have a way to contact the office after hours to which she replied 'well there is a number on the door you could have called' - we went back and checked ... NO number anywhere! A fantastic room, lovely area and great place for families - just extremely disappointed with the service this time!.

Quaint motel with views over the harbour

Absolutely loved our stay at this motel. Our manager was warm and welcoming. Loved the room which was warm, sunny and very clean. Views were stunning over the harbour and we loved our short walk into the village every day. We will be back.

Amazing location and great staff

Pros: Location and front office lady who was so helpful
Location: Great views and close to everything
Fantastic location! We stayed in the 2bedroom apartment on the upper level which had wonderful views. Staff were excellent and very accommodating. We had family travel from around NZ and Australia and we all stayed at the motel and they were so helpful in getting our rooms next to each other and allowing us to sit outside at night just chatting and catching up. Would highly recommend this motel as the location is walking distance into the township and facilities were great.
