If you need a quiet, private and relaxing getaway this is the place for you! Beautiful and secluded. Great place for a couple marriage retreat. Has all the perks. Have a few freezer meals ready to reheat and you’ll be set. Short drive to Imbil and Kenilworth. We squeezed in a hike out at Amamoor national park too. Highly recommend this place!

Pure and utter bliss/relaxation/tranquility!

Pros: Lovely and secluded- no one else there with you! Late check out of 12pm.
Cons: The driveway was a bit of a shamble, however I understand that it's being done up and delayed due to all the rain that has been around.
Location: Easy 1 hr drive from the sunshine coast. Plenty of things to do near by- bushwalking tracks on the property, Kenilworth cheese factory, Gympie region.
I had an absolutely amazing time at Melawondi. From as soon as I arrived, I felt at ease and was amazed with all the little things that had been included. I had pre ordered a gourmet dinner- which consisted of two lovely pieces of local fillet steak, home made bread rolls, salad and local chocolate mousse. This was waiting for me on arrival, as well as a local cheese platter and breakfast supplies- local bacon, eggs, yoghurt, jam, fresh pineapple juice and more home made bread. The cabin is open plan and you can watch the sun set from the bath or verandah. If you are needing some R&R or looking for somewhere special to take that special person, I would recommend Melawondi at a pinch. Definitely 5 stars and well worth the price.

Great retreat

Very private and spacious. Great food and drinks on arrival. Breakfast provisions also provided. Can't really do better if you are looking for a private and comfortable retreat.

Very relaxing!

Pros: Secluded, and peaceful.
Location: Remote and peaceful, lots of beautiful walks and things to see.
My wife and I stayed for our first year anniversary, and it was perfect. The accommodation is fantastic, and the hospitality exceptional. We woke to the sound of birds singing and Kangaroos bouncing around, this was followed by a breakfast filled with local produce from the area. A couple of days of pure relaxation and luxury!

Cons: No complaints!
Enjoyed : Gympie markets, Kenilworth Festival, Par 3 Golf Course, Breakfast including fresh fruit and baked bread daily, Kandanga Pub watching Souths!

Pros: The peace and quiet, we didn't see another soul during our stay. To add to that Tony & Tanya are lovely people who took very good care of us.
Cons: We can't make it out there more often.
Location: Exactly what we wanted!
