Our hostel rooms were built in the 1970s (long before our time here) and are regularly deep cleaned, checked and maintained e.g. fresh paint. The photos of our rooms online accurately reflect what we offer, outdated is a matter of opinion that we would disagree with given that we replace items often due to usage. Unfortunately we have no control over sandflies but do provide insect repellent for restaurant guests and sell it in our shop, as well as fly screens over windows, we do what we can. Our view has been called many things but nice would be an understatement for quite a few people...

Wotif did a wrong presentation. 1. The place is 70 Kms From Queenstown....far away....its not nearby....pls understand... 2. Shared Bathroom and Toilets not clarified as its Hostel Youth...

Thanks for writing a review. Unfortunately while we do try to make clear where we are websites like this present our location as the crow flies and there's nothing we can do. Wotif feeds from Expedia and we have made clear there that rooms have shared bathrooms. Sorry we weren't what you were looking for.

Close to the mountains and the beach

Wotif misled me into thinking that it is 20 km out of Queenstown. It did not have a attached toilet which I wasn't aware of.

Serene

The perfect spot to stop & re-charge one's batteries. Staff are extremely willing & helpful, fabulous food, cooked from their kitchen. It is a serene, peaceful place just wants needed at the end of a busy holiday moving from place to place, Thank you Kinloch.

Almost worth the money you pay.

Location: The hotel is set in beautiful location. But Involves lot of travel to reach
Room had limited facilities. Shared toilets and bathroom.
