Great Hotel, beach excellent service average
Pros:The management, front staff and reception staff were all helpful and a delight to talk to, they couldn't do enough for us. The breakfasts were great.
Cons:The cleaning staff need to have a check list, how could you clean a room and not leave towels, toilet paper etc.
Location:Location was magnificent, beaches,shopping and amenities, clean and close by. Water sports, go carts and tours all convenient. Dining lots of choice.
We loved everything about the hotel except our room cleaning and house keeping. Two days we had no towels,one night we had no sheet on the bed and we had trouble with the light switch to the bathroom which didn't seem to get fixed. Another evening I ordered ice which never came.
On the plus side when we did tell management about the ongoing problems they did change the service and offered us a bottle of wine as compensation.

Honeymoon
It was wonderful spending our honeymoon at the Anantara. As soon as we got there until the moment we left, the staff treated us with respect. We were upgraded in our room and thought they were spacious and clean. Each night we were left a little note by the staff that turned down our bed (which I thought was a cute touch!) Hotel pool was lovely and the overall location of the hotel was great. Would definitely return to this hotel

Very close to the beach

Pros:Everything about this hotel was exceptional!! I spent a couple weeks travelling Thailand- over 10 different accomodations and this was our FAVORITE!!!
Cons:That i was only able to stay one night and had to leave to continue to Ko Tao

Pros:Close to Fishermans Village for meals in the evening.
Cons:We werent allocated rooms together even though we had booked 4, we had two in each block
