I’m always reluctant to leave a bad review but I wish I had taken the negative reviews I had read more seriously. We left one beautiful Fijian resort to see another side of Fiji and were excited to see Likuri from the water as it’s a beautiful spot. Unfortunately the good vibes didn’t continue. To sum up our experience- The staff ranged from rude to indifferent, the buffet only option was awful/inedible, all normal amenities are extra costs - i.e. snorkels and wifi, the accomodation was in really bad condition - terrible bed and bathroom and a non flushing toilet which was disastrous as I had a case of Fijii Belly the night we stayed. We were so miserable - we decided to leave after one night even though the extra nights we’d paid for were non refundable. We are not the type of people to need luxury or five star resorts but to be made to feel unwelcome on holiday is hard to get past. Perhaps the work culture is not great as the staff seemed quite unhappy to be there. The good news is we headed back to our first resort -and continued our beautiful Fijian holiday in a place that made us feel like family. We know this may not be everyone’s experience at Likuri but I was prompted to leave a review and hopefully it can be taken constructively to help them improve.

Bula Shahnee, I am shocked to hear of your experience, I can hardly believe its the same resort. I have noted your issues and will investigate immediately. I can advise the toilets are on a pump so they do take a little longer to fill than mainland. Bula belly is a terrible experience, hygiene is key, tip for travelling, use hand wipes or sanitizer after opening taxi doors, wash the tap before you turn it off in public bathrooms eg airports. We will take your review seriously and act on it promptly. Hope your feeling better!Vinaka

We stayed three nights and had three full days as we didn’t want to leave and got the last possible boat home. It’s a super wee island and I cannot rate the staff highly enough. There was a blackboard up with each day’s activities, if you wanted to do them, which were tied to the day visitors. It was very busy two of nights we were there with extras over for lovo and entertainment (fire dancing, knife dancing etc) and the shows were amazing. I’m not sure I’d suggest people stay longer but it’s definitely recommended for an accessible Island holiday.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay. Lots of entertainment and activities to keep kids engaged. Staff was so nice. We felt like family.

We stayed at the island during the cyclone , and staff were awesome . Made us feel safe , always kept checking up on us, so friendly. Making you feel like family. Food was also delicious ! Ruth our house keeper was so lovely , she made us feel at home. Great place to stay and enjoy the sun !

It was a great experience and I will be back with the family. It was great to experience some authentic Fijian life that other accommodation didn’t provide. Loved the staff and the happy atmosphere.

Private Island holiday

We spent 8 nights on the island and it was amazing. The staff are so friendly and they looked after us very well. The food was incredible - very well prepared and healthy too. We spent a lot of time relaxing and also enjoyed the activities on offer including snorkelling, village tour, kava ceremony, weaving, jewellery making, daily live performances including the spectacular fire shows 3 nights per week. If you want to go to the island for the day or night tours you may as well stay the night and it's included in your stay. We stayed in the lodge and enjoyed a more authentic stay and enjoyed seeing Fiji in a more traditional way on our very own island.

Great cultural Stay

Lovely little island with amazing staff who made our stay memorable. No Aircon,no cars just 3 meals a day , snorkling, fishing, kayaking, or just lazing in a hammock or sun lounge on the beach.. Don't come if you want 5 star its cultural you are barefooted all day, you feel relaxed after the last day, massages under the palm tree or in quiet island Bure..or enjoy a cocktail or drink of your choice served by Malika a lovely staff member. All in all the staff help make your stay enjoyable, they perform in the amazing Shows which are on about 6 times a week, the night shows are my favourite the firedancing and lovo dinner yummy... Kids can run around exploring , learning traditions , collect coconuts , make jewellery or baskets, play games with staff , they forget about phones and iPads just old fashioned fun... Everyone should check out this lovely Island. Come for a day or night show or stay a few nights Once you've been you are hooked.. .
