The staff were great and made a big effort to make your stay perfect for you. Friendly and warm people who seemed too very much enjoy their jobs. Loved being able to walk down to the beach swim and snorkel straight from the resort. Spectacular snorkelling at such a short distance offshore.

Peace, quiet, relax, repeat!

Pros: It is small, not too many guests, reflects perfectly the concept of 'island time' where you have to slow down and relax - guaranteed.
Cons: Nothing - it is perfect for what you pay for. If you want 5 star with all the organised resort chaos that comes with it - go somewhere else!
Location: It has a great sandy beach with a generous lagoon to swim in. Crusoe's Resort is nearby (diving / fishing charter options) as is a local village..
If you want peace and quiet to just relax, lie on a beach, read a book, go swimming, kayaking or snorkelling - then this is the place for you. The activities are all at your own pace - no preorganised timetable with a million and one people making their presence felt. It is like having your own private beach house with the choice to engage as much or as little as you want in what the resort has to offer. Being an adults only resort during school holidays is also a HUGE bonus in making sure you relax at your own pace.

Blissfully Relaxing Stay

Pros: The peacefulness (adults only helps!), the awesome spacious rooms and the setting.
Cons: We honestly have no further suggestions!!
Location: Set in a huge property (over 100 acres i think?), so you almost feel like you're staying on an island. We played golf nearby and visited the ecopark
We were so impressed with our recent stay at the Wellesley Resort. It was everything we could of wished for and more. The personalised service was faultless from the minute we arrived. We really did feel like we left as friends. The drive into the resort was wonderful and you got to see the real side of Fiji, driving through the little towns along the way. The long driveway wound through beautiful plantations and opened up with magical sea views. We booked their middle of the range suites and they exceeded our expectations. Rooms spacious than most other resorts we've stayed in, very clean, with all the amenities you'd need. We loved dining over looking the pool and the ocean. The chef and wait staff were fun. They had loads of free activities on offer - local garden tours, coconut husking etc. We spend hours lounging on the beachside loungers...kept the bar staff busy! I even did my first snorkeling experience, not usually being one to swim in the sea. Forget about the large chain hotels where you're just one of 500 guests. Stay at the peaceful Wellesley where you really do leave as a friend and nothing is too much trouble. We can't wait to book a return stay.

Beautiful boutique resort.

This place ticked all the boxes with respect to small, intimate, lovely room, beautiful pool and most important a lovely beach. The resort only has 14 rooms, is adult only, so very quiet. We had one of the honeymoon suites and loved it. The grounds are well kept and pool in beautiful condition. Because of the remoteness ( 5km in from main road), you have little choice but to dine at the resort. The dinner menu changed daily, however we found the food rather expensive for the simple smaller servings. Basic meals really.

Probably the best beach on the Coral Coast !

Pros: Just about everything. The staff were beautiful and always smiling. The facilities are clean and functional. The food was pretty good too.
Cons: A few minor issues but they are on to it.
Location: This is not a nightlife venue, so if you want night clubbing and entertainment look elsewhere. It's pretty remote which is why we chose to go there.
Bula Bula, If you want to get away from it all and relax this is the place, no noise just the sounds of nature, peace and quiet. If you enjoy snorkeling among at least a hundred different varieties of tropical fish or just a swim in beautiful clean clear water you will not find better. The staff are super friendly and will make your stay restful and worry free. We will return this place is paradise.

Amazing place!! Did not want to leave.Magical

My experience at this resort was AMAZING!!! The staff and service was fantastic. It's a stunning place right on the ocean where you can snorkel right off the resort in the reef. You can kayak as well. Stuff is all provided by resort. They have daily activities available. It's adults only. Such a peaceful and quiet place. This is where you go to rejuvenate and relax if that's what you're looking for. I highly recommend this place. Cannot wait to go back!!!!

Escape with excellent food and service

Pros: Location Staff attitude Food
Cons: Availability of kayaks for when swimming isn't possible.
Location: Most activities require driving. Immediate activities are snorkelling, swimming.
Service of the staff was excellent and the food was impressive. Beach was pleasant. Swimming only practical at high tide. Pool is available otherwise, or a short walk to an inlet (only for strong swimmers). Internet was sometimes available - effected by the network distance from major cities. Rooms very nice with private outdoor shower. no bath. It's about 2hr drive from Nadi airport.
