Next door to Queen's Gardens, and able to walk to the city centre. Very limited car parking, so had to hope for free availability in the street, or pay for street parking.

The room we stayed in was not worth the money you pay. The bathroom had mould and the shower head had soap scum and the basin had stains. Freezer in fridge is all iced up and you can’t move in the bedroom as they have jammed in 2 beds which it only made for 1. The pool was heated and the was the best part.

We love staying at the apartments attached to the hotel so we have a bit more room and a little kitchenette. We feel so relaxed there. Noise can travel from upstairs if there are active kids running and slamming stuff but that is to be expected in a vintage building. Staff are so lovely and the spa pools felt amazing on a cold winter morning.Location can't be beat and we love the history and beautiful design.
