The Mahagiri Resort was a great, clean place to stay. It is really unfortunate that you can not swim in the ocean out the front due to the Seaweed Farm and the pool was too warm, around 35°C so it was difficult to cool off. Besides that, it was a great place to stay within walking distance to lots of fantastic restaurants.

Overall stay was good. Breakfast was excellent each day. Couldnt really swim in ocean due too seaweed farms. Cocktails are good. It was a good base to travel around the island on scooter.

The resort is very pretty but we found that we had very small cups for cuppa, we had nothing in our room to wash ourselves luckily I saw a cleaner to get something to wash ourselves and toilet roll. It would have been nice to have a hand towel as well.

Got some work to do!

Where do I start? We arrived off the boat and were left waiting for transfer to the hotel for an hour. Two phone calls later we were finally picked up. The hotel is Chinese owned, and caters to Chinese tourists, with all the best dining tables reserved for lunch for the Chinese. Day 2 awoke to no water in the room. Cocktails served in plastic glasses. The room looked nothing like the website, and more resembled a basic inner city style hotel room from the 1990's. On an up note, the food was great as were the staff. One last thing, that wasn't the hotel's fault, the boat trip back to Bali was horrendous, with the majority of passengers very seasick due to the 30 Knott winds and the boat driver trying to stick to schedule. If you suffer seasickness, I'd seriously reconsider going to Lembongan unless conditions are calm.

Early days for this hotel...

Location: Well situated, but will need a motor bike.
Realised after we booked the hotel was still under construction and probably would not have booked if we had known. What the hotel has going for it is the fantastic view, extensive beach area, location and young friendly, accommodating staff who are willing to grow with the hotel. Rooms were somewhat basic but the view made up for this. Breakfast was included and was more than sufficient. Noise from the construction was annoying however we didn't spend a great deal of time during the day in the room. Location at the top end of the island was not a problem as we hired scooters anyway. Things that can be considered and improved on: -They need to provide a fridge and hairdryer in each room as we had to make a special request (with the help of wotif) to get these. - Needs an elevator as I'm not getting any younger. - Toilets near the pool as you have to go through the foyer to get to one. - Could do more to encourage people to eat there. Overall the stay was enjoyable and would stay there again but my concern also is we took advantage of a 55% discount and at this price the value for money was good - at full price I would question it's value considering the basic rooms.

In accordance with local regulations, all visitors must remain within the property during Seclusion Day (Nyepi)/Hindu New Year for a 24-hour period (starting at 6 AM). Seclusion Day typically falls in March or April (dates subject to change each year). Check-in and check-out will not be possible on that date. Ngurah Rai Airport (Bali International Airport) is also closed on Seclusion Day.
