Definitely not recommended

Turned up and they had lost our booking, but finally got that sorted. Restaurant was serving food when we were checking in, but was suddenly closed by the time we came back downstairs and they couldn't even manage to rustle up a piece of fruit. Room was atrciously decorated, outdated, and tired. Shower was moldy. Found out later that the locals know not to stay here. Will definitely avoid it in the future

Excellent location and fantastic restaurant.

Hotel itself is great as was the restaurant, but the bed was terribly uncomfortable so not much sleep was had.

Hi there, Thank you for taking the time to supply us with your feedback. As new owners, we recognize that changes and upgrades are necessary. We are currently in the process of replacing all the beds in the hotel and rear park complex. We are 45% of the way through putting brand new super kings in the rooms. It may be that the room you stayed in is yet to have a new bed installed. We apologize for your uncomfortable sleep! We certainly do not wish our guests to leave un-rested and tired. Lovely old Hotel in quaint little town.

Pros: Ambiance and delicious food.
Lovely and relaxing. Well worth stopping overnight to check out this little town with great shops and eateries.

Cons: do up the rooms. clean the back end of the kitchen. i don;t want to seee their mess when I go to my room
Overall Tired, light bulbs not working in two units. on light made us nervous a sit was flickering friendly staff we may try else where next time

Pros: Size of the unit
Cons: We were told on check in that by booking with Wotif, a three course dinner was included. 3 hrs b4 dinner we received a phone message to retract that.

I personally checked you in & explained that this was simply miscommunication from a staff member who thought you had booked a package - you shook my hand and told me with a big smile how well you thought that I had handled that. You paid $169 for a $225 room surely you did not expect a $140 dinner thrown in also? Regards Rob

Pros: The bathroom was definitely the best part of the accommodation.
Cons: The room decor was disappointingly dark and drab.
Well situated in town centre.

Pros: King size bed
Cons: Shrubs scratching all night on the bedroom wall in the wind. No mirror above bathroom sink for shaving. Somebody staying upstairs, clunking around
Location: Close to everything, On the Main Road
Facilities: Basic, Everyday; Value: Over-priced, Could be better; Service: Friendly, Courteous; Cleanliness: One dirty mug ok otherwi; A motel type room out the back of a hotel, but no motel facilities, just tea and coffee things.
