Rooms were decorated to the era of the original hotel style. Bathroom were clean, hot water pressure was low. Views were lovely. Staff were polite and accommodating. Good was proportion size, cooked well. Parking was limited due to road works but sufficient on ground parking.

The hydro seems to have lost its charm and become more commercial. To not have guest checked in in that grand entrance and routed to the side bar was disappointing.

Felt very special in the beautiful art deco filled public areas & loved the amazing views over the valley from a comfortable lounge seat. Loved the soft, large & cosy bed & privacy of our room. The Pavilion was a nostalgic bonus & great for a lazy afternoon & soaking up the valley views outdoors.
