Great Stay for our wedding anniversary

A fantastic stay as usual at the Windsor. This weekend was our first wedding anniversary. We were lucky enough to be upgraded to a superior suite, and were given a bottle of champagne and a card personally signed by the staff. A great experience. If you’re considering this hotel, do yourself a favour a book it!

A beautiful piece of history

Pros: It was quiet and spacious, and the décor and architecture was true to the Victorian period.
Cons: The front reception looks a little lost in the grandeur of the foyer, however it seems to function well. The hotel map could be more detailed.
Location: The location was good, being a little away from the hustle of the CBD but still near enough for convenience. Transport options were very good.
The Hotel Windsor is a beautiful period hotel with loads of character. We really appreciated the location as we were around the corner from the free tram, Parliament underground station and the trains were within walking distance. The CBD is so close that it was easy to walk (or tram) back to our room in the afternoon to rest our weary feet and dump the shopping!

Pros: old character
Cons: bar could be aired out

Classic Hotel

Pros: The basic room was large and comfortable
Cons: The property is very dated and needs a major refurbishment.
The Windsor is quite tired but it is a classic property and conveniently located. Great value at Wotif pricing
