For the money spent to stay here (which was to be a treat), the art deco light in bedroom had blown bulbs, there was black mould on floor in shower, it was not overly friendly, staff pleasant but not friendly and there is a difference. I’ve stayed in cheaper, cleaner and definitely more friendly places. Would I recommend, no ! There’s heaps of choices so I’d recommend you try another accommodation option if in Napier.

Spoons were dirty in the kitchenette area, foh staff not as helpful, when we checked in the person behind the reception was busy talking to his family or friend in a different language in his AirPod. This morning some lady behind the reception was not that helpful when checking out. On the plus side, rooms were great and looked amazing. Restaurant staff were pretty good , just a suggestion - they need hashbrowns in the breakfast menu !

The sink in the bathroom was not very functional and kept spilling water outside the sink. We ended up using the sink in the room instead because it was so badly designed. Room at night was loud and location of hotel was not great. Staff was friendly and breakfast was good.
