Most disappointed. Very old and smelt musty. Cupboards didn’t shut curtains didn’t cover window when shut. Oven door didn’t seal. Not a lot of water if you wanted a hot shower. Kitchen table top wonky

Great night's sleep on comfortable bed. Decor somewhat dated as is the property, but if you think 'batch' not 'hotel' it is just fine.

Close to shops
The property was very quiet
No office onsite however which was unexpected, I hadn’t read email sent just prior to arrival re this.

Nice holiday accommodation, spacious units.
Pros:Quiet location, good walking along bay, ease of access. Good for self drive holiday makers.

Property does not have any staff in the premises.
We had to go the the te teriti resort to get our keys. There is no staff in the actual property. The place where we stayed had some temporary fencing around the property. The grounds were unkempt.the location, was in an area with residential units that are even more unkempt than the property. Since we were all ladies, it was a wee bit scary. I don't even know if there are other guests on the area. The swimming pool was empty and had garden rubbish in it. I ask the resort staff if they have any vacancy so we can upgrade and sadly not. I honestly think that if there are any standard for accommodation in NZ, this property would not exist. I will stay away from this property.

Cheap and cheerful in Waitangi -Great for families
Pros:New furnishings. Location and price. Easy access. Lots of space. Great shower pressure. Comfortable beds with new linen.
Cons:There were heaps of flies which may be a problem in warmer months. Needs a coffee plunger like it shows in the photos. Sliding door lock was jiggly.
Great self-contained 2 bedroom motel space that has been recently refurbished. New flooring throughout. New linens and furnishings. This was great value for the price, location, and time (school holidays). Motel rooms were surprisingly warm and shower had excellent water pressure. Lots of space. There were four of us (2 adults/2 kids).
Parking was right next to room. Room was part of a duplex block of two. Building was part of larger complex which was not being used as a motel and was fenced off. This made it exceptionally quiet and private, and initially for us city folk a bit unnerving, although we quickly adapted.
Kitchenette had a large fridge/freezer, microwave, benchtop convection cooker, toaster, jug, and frying pan...there is no stovetop or hobs to cook on. There is no landline phone, but cell phone reception was good. Large TV with all free channels. Under a 5 day stay they do not service the rooms (unless requested and at a cost), but this suited us just fine. We did not use the onsite laundry facilities as we were only there 3 nights/4 days.
This was a great base for our Northern adventures. I would highly recommend this place for families. Not a whole lot to do onsite, but a great base, and enough space for the kids to make their own fun in between your exploring times off-site.
