Very tired hotel - beds need replacing

Very tired.... things are dated and worn., however nothing in comparison to the beds and pillows! The pillows need to be disposed of! Food was average, yet service was outstanding. All staff we encountered were obliging and friendly

Average.

Pros: Location
Cons: Lots, especially buffet breakfast
Location: St Kilda is beautiful with great food spots. Mammys chip shop near Luna Park is sensational
Ok, but that's about it. Awful coffee and breakfast. Location is good, busy road, but noise not an issue. Being able to St Kilda was a bonus, Wouldn't stay again or recommend, but place is ok if the price is right. Avoid the buffet breakfast at all cost. Im not really fussy with food, but it was truly terrible.

Convenient to St. Kilda Road

Pros: Rooms were comfortably big enough.
Cons: The whole hotel needs refurbishing and updating.
Location: Walking distance to St. Kilda Road, and thus to trams & buses.
We had a standard room with a wonderful view of ..wait for it...the carpark. Nothing like the glamorous more expensive rooms with views of the golf course and park, as advertised on the hotel's website. Building and rooms are all very tired and definitely are crying out for refurbishment. Cracks in the tiles, ingrained dirt, chips off the concrete at front of the hotel etc etc. The cleaning staff were wonderful, but reception was curt and officious.

super comfy bed, excellent caring staff, great!

Pros: Staff, price, bed, view, parking, location, 11.00 check out, earlier check in.
Cons: Check out time. Coffee cups (not mugs). Bigger bath. A breakfast other than large banquet style, just something special/elegant and healthy.
Location: /
Booking was difficult through Wotif and I had to ring the support number. All staff (reception and bar) on our arrival were excellent, Terrific value for money. Parking was convenient, affordable and easy. Room was spacious, clean and super comfy bed and pillows. Bath was way too small:( Great view! Check out took a very longtime as only one staff member on duty. Would definitely stay again and recommend to friends and family. My over all rating is 9/10 even with the few slight little problems.

Quick stay

Hotel is run down. Furniture in room is marked and looks like it comes from an op shop. Cupboard in room was jammed and couldn’t be opened! Corridors are very long which means it is noisy and had an old stale smell. The extra charge for parking when already charging for a mid week night is a bit steep and then you have to carry your own bags down the stairs - no lifts. Very very budget

Memorable stay

Pros: comfortable and convenient
Cons: rejuvenate the bathroom to make it look better.
Location: A good short drive to Chapel street Windsor for dinner.
A good hotel to stay, affordable. Good room, bathroom a bit old, but clean and functioning. Beds were good. Small issue found on last day, ants near the window. Staff came quickly to clean it up. It was the last night hence we did not bother to move room. Parking extra $13, still good value.
