The hotel was unexpectedly closed. Which was not communicated to us at all-when found out from a note pasted on the door telling us our reservation was transferred to a different hotel. Would’ve been nice to know before dragging our luggage in the opposite direction, but this place failed to communicate anything. Other hotel (Torino) was meh/ok

Viminale is a classic hotel with history. It has been updated but still has character. The room was very clean, the bathroom sparkled. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast spread and room were excellent. It is well located within easy walking distance to transportation, the Piazza Republica and the train terminal. I highly recommend it if you are looking beyond the cookie cutter chain hotels.

This place was incredibly disappointing. Whoever claimed this as a 4-star hotel is on something. I'd give it 2.5 stars. Maybe. The cleaning is absolutely bare minimum. Within 5 minutes of checking in I found a bug and a long hair in the bed. Don't think they changed my sheets at all during my 5 night stay. They never gave me more toilet paper or toiletries for the shower. Oh, and the shower! Worst plumbing drainage I have ever seen. You can't take a 5 minute shower without the water overflowing from the shower all over the bathroom floor. They also don't allow guests in your room, which is not communicated beforehand. I tried to have a friend over and was stopped by the desk agent and told they could not come inside. Overall, I just did not feel comfortable here considering I was sold a 4-star experience.
