Central location, clean, basic accommodation

Checked in about 6pm Friday night and taken through the bar to get to the lift up to the room. The other option is to walk around to the front door. The room (#3) was very clean but Rotorua was in a heatwave so the room was hot. Ceiling fan is in the corner so doesn't quite reach the bed. Free standing fan didn't work. Opened a window to let the breeze in but the kitchen vent was next to it so smell of fried food came in. Ended up not sleeping there but did leave supplies for a party at the Club the next morning. Positives: central location, price. Negatives: smell, no iron in room (but was a hairdryer).

Cozy experience

We arrived late to this place and we receive a call from the FO. They are friendly and help us to check in right away. The room is clean, totally worth it for the price we pay. Highly recommend

Great location

Pros: Location.
A simple and unpretentious hotel. Was upgraded to a larger room as it was available, which was very much appreciated. A charming experience — karaoke night in the bar below one night, karaoke night at a bar down the road the other night — that may not be to all tastes. I would have no hesitation to staying there next time I'm in Rotorua.

Clean and quiet

Pros: Good value for your money
Cons: Replace stained face cloths and bedding. A little off putting especially because the room was very clean.
Location: Lots of shops and food in walking distance. Central to everything.
Stayed one night. Was very quiet and the beds were comfy. Room was clean but a few stains on towels and covers. Room was a bit hot but there was a window and fan provided. Nice shower and good size Bathroom.

Cozy local hotel

I had a lovely stay here, room was very affordable and the location is great, few min walk to the main eating area "Eat Street", the lake front and shops. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I also enjoyed joining in with the locals at Kareoke in the pub down stairs. Would definitely stay again the next time I'm in Rotorua :)
