We had a wedding to attend and stayed in the charmed cabin at lotus lodge . A tiny space done really well.If you are out and about a great little gem. The steps down to the cabin from the carpark could be a bit of a hazard for some people the same off the small back deck. If you are sure footed no problem. Very reasonably priced and a little gem.

Didn't stay.

Can't say a lot as we didn't stay. It sure didn't meet any expectations, it's basically a shed with a bed and bathroom. My wife refused to stay here so we booked elsewhere. Not satisfied.

Cosy cottage in the beautiful Dandenong Ranges

Pros: natural surrounds, secluded, peaceful and quiet location; outdoor deck & gardens, cosy and homely feel; the spa
Cons: bifold doors in the Charmed cottage easily came off the track & hard to put back on-could have easier door like sliding doors, replace cooking pots,
Location: beautiful drive along the Mt Dandenong Tourist Rd up to the cottages, can visit the nearby Sassafras, Olinda and Mt Dandenong villages, hiking
Had a lovely weekend stay in the Charmed Cabin cottage, was lovely when I got there that the outside and inside lights were on (dimmed) and had lovely soft jazz music playing which I thought was pretty cool. Had a slight hiccup with me not being able to receive email they tried to send me to get door code & map (especially for where/how to park) from YRA staff who look after the accommodation - but the person was texting me (as communication is by text or email only) was helpful, patient (I don't know what your name is who I was communicating with but thanks for all your help) I love that it's private secluded and quiet as I really needed to get away to relax and unwind after a very hectic week - I felt very refreshed after my stay there and would highly recommend staying at Lotus Lodges.

Cottage in the dandenongs.

It's very quaint but not worth the amount of money. Parking was difficult to get into and out of. Front door and lock is in need of repair. I fell down the steps into the kitchen. Very narrow little steps. The supporting beam in the middle of the lounge area needs to be painted in a brighter colour so you can see it and not walk into it. A few more blankets in the winter would be good. It was very cold at night. Overall, I felt the cottage was definitely overpriced.

Thank you for your valuable feedback. Included in the booking information sent prior to arrival, all guests are supplied with a clear and concise diagram on how to access the simple parallel parking space right in the front of the cottage. However after noting the way that you parked during your stay, we have updated these diagrams by adding a few more photos. Despite a very effective heater in the cottage, the bed is fitted with 2 wool blankets, doona and an electric blanket. There are also multiple additional wool blankets in the couch storage area which is indicated in our in-house guest manual. We have a dedicated customer service department that can be contacted at any time during your stay to answer any questions that you have, including the supply of additional blankets. The cottage is well lit and the beam in the lounge room can be seen easily. The stairs have a handrail for safety. We pride ourselves in providing a very competitively-priced fully self-contained private cottage in gorgeous surrounds and we are disappointed that you feel it was overpriced. We hope that you enjoyed your stay and thank you for your feedback which will allow us to continually improve our service and facilities.

Pretty cottage hidden in the Dandenong ranges

Pros: Individual and unique
Cons: Limited wifi could be installed for customers who use phone's that do not have service in the Dandenong ranges.
Pretty cottage hidden in the Dandenong ranges within walking distance of the majority of attractions, walking tracks, unique shops and cafes.

Really nice position up in The Dandenongs.

Pros: All of the above.
Cons: As suggested, a secure fly screen door out to the balcony. Also the glass windows and doors need a clean.
Location: All the villages, shops, restaurants, cafés, gardens, views that one could possibly need to enjoy your time up in The Dandenongs.
Very good, secluded position, so close to all the villages, gardens, lookouts, shops ... also so green and cool. Very easy drive down to the railway station if you wanted to go into the city by train. Everything we needed for a comfortable stay, but the glass windows / doors could do with a clean. Suggestion: a secure fly screen on the balcony door would be a great idea, as you could then leave it open .....
