What a lovely welcome. Clean, comfortable and cosy room. Strahan is certainly struggling with staffing and covid so restaurants are limited. Fortunately the owner had given us a “heads up” so we ordered takeaway Thai - very cosy enjoying this and a bottle of wine in the lounge. Helpful info sheet with details of restaurants and laundries etc. very warm, comfortable room. Would recommend for travellers.

The property is a old style house. Has charm & character. The hosts are really nice people . The grounds are kept well.maintained. it is only a 5 minute drive to strahan township.

The building was beautifully restored and decorated, felt so at home, like being at my Nan’s. Amazing views across the river. John was excellent host, plenty of knowledge to share. Deducted 1/5th of a point for no TV in rooms, now football season is here!

Thanks for your review. Just so others reading this are not mislead we are a 3 minute drive to the epicentre of town, restaurants and cruise terminals. We are a 'wilderness' lodge surrounded by nature but we are still inside the boundaries of the very small town of Strahan which takes 10 minutes to drive from one side to other. Our rooms are all different sizes, some larger than others depending on what room type you book and what is available at the time of booking.
