I liked the room - it was cute and comfortable and had all the amenities we needed. Staff were friendly and helpful too.

This was not what was advertised booked single room with twin bed not tiny room with single bed. Will not be returning.

Energetic backpackers / motel in New Plymouth

Cottage room is very comfortable. Reasonably close to town. Close to supermarket.

A nice place, glad I found it

Pros: Location, lots of Sky channels, and fully self contained with kitchenette (note there are different room types and I was in a motel room).
Cons: Not so much an improvement just a FYI - no aircon/heatpump, and the shower is fairly small
Location: Well situated for town centre, supermarkets, and Pukekura Park.
The answers to the other questions (what did I like, what could be improved, and location) what pretty much cover it. Would stay again.

Reality of room substantially different to photo.

Pros: Did the job - provided somewhere to kip for the night that was relatively warm, dry, and quiet.
Cons: Give the place a basic spruce up - paint, flooring, linen.
Location: Easy short walk to centre of town, bars/restaurants, and waterfront. Two supermarkets very close. Only 4 onsite carparks but road as well.
Hostel was clean and tidy - but old and basic. Photo didn't represent this. Room needed a paint and had threadbare carpet. Toilets and shower were clean but aged and marked. Bed, pillows, and bedding also showing their age. Curtains were cute but looked to have been sewn together from salvage find sheets.

Groovy Accommodation

Pros: Funky colours through out and even funkier furniture to complete the picture.
Location: 5min walk into the main shopping centre with plenty of great eating houses and good shopping. Another 5min and you are on the waterfront walkways.
Loved the friendliness of staff and was given a full tour of the facilities so no chance of getting lost while staying. Awesome cosy funky accomodation. Was perfect for my stay and close to town.

Nice place

Pros: I was left alone
Cons: The cottage as a bit cold - although there was a heater. Bed needs a duvet - only blankets, and too few.
Location: Only 10 minute into downtown - nice walk.
OK. Not much else to say. This is very annoying and would inhibit me from doing this again!
