A pleasant aspect overlooking the Waihou River and old racecourse towards Thames. This is a place of peace, beauty and character.

Wonderful stay. Highly recommend Cotswold Cottage

Pros: Garth and Adrienne were superb hosts. Nothing was too much trouble. Room clean and comfortable. Breakfast and afternoon tea lovely. Excellent!
Cons: Nothing
Location: Only stayed one night but gold mining history was very interesting. Very historical buildings. Pub food great!
We were welcomed by a lovely afternoon tea. Spent time in the warm spa. Our room was clean and stylish. We wanted for nothing. But the highlight was our friendly and engaging hosts, Garth and Adrienne. They provided us with very positive and constructive travel tips. Fantastic stay!

What you see is what you get.

Pros: The room & the view
Location: The town of Thames is the gateway to the Coromandel Peninsula and is a 3 min drive from Cottswald Cottage.
The cottage has 3 guest rooms, and they are very tastefully done. The view over the river towards town is delightful. Adrienne greeted us with warm scones & tea and we were soon joined by another couple who we hit it off with straight away. Dinner at the local pub GBD and lunch the following day at sensational Cafe Melbourne make this a great place to stay

Lovely view over Thames

Cons: We could here both couples in the other rooms, including their TV and the person next door snoring. So better sound proofing would be nice.
Really enjoyed our stay. The hosts could not have been nicer. The rooms were spotless.
