Lovely well maintained resort.
The staff were amazing, always friendly and helpful.
Only negative was the last free shuttle to town was at 5pm with a 5.30pm return.. would be great if they could add a later shuttle.
Although plenty of cabs available for the short trip back and forth.
Highlight was the great forest views!

Property looks nice from outside and nice setup but poor maintenance. Smelly bathroom, everything breaks when you touch in the room, ants in the toilet. Overall, look and feel at the property is nice and different but they need to improve the quality of the rooms, especially the top end Villa's, where we stayed.

We loved this place-from the moment we checked in, to the moment we said goodbye everything was just perfect. We had a gorgeous 2 bedroom Vila with a swing pool, lovely gardens, comfortable beds. The food was amazing-my partner mentioned he is allergic to nuts and every time we had a meal at the restaurant or ordered room service, we would have a staff member approaching us to insure that the food is appropriate for him.
The whole resort is surrounded by rice fields, lavish gardens and is only 10 min drive to ubud village.
I can not recommend this resort enough and will definitely come back.

Cons:Very little. Possibly a more frequent shuttle service (but even this is very minor - if you "miss the bus" taxis are plentiful and very inexpensive.
Location:Ubud is very much arts and crafts (with some excellent shopping!) Plenty to see and do locally, and within a (relatively) short drive.
Bearing in mind Visesa Ubud is only one year old, the standard of service and professionalism shown by the staff was amazing (better experience than ANY Australian "Five Star" establishment - and we've seen more than a few). Beautiful grounds (including working paddy fields!), excellent dining (main area and villa), with a very polished, professional shuttle-bus service to Ubud Town. Rooms were of a very high standard (as was room service), and the "village" layout provided a very relaxed overall ambience. Nothing was "too difficult", and the very few problems we did encounter, were fixed very quickly indeed.
A very good central location for short day-trips (lots of sites of interest within one hour by car), and plenty of activities provided by the hotel. Easy (relatively, by Balinese traffic standards!) access to Denpasar, the main Airport (in Badung Regency), and the "usual tourism hot-spots" of Seminyak, Kuta and Legian. Also a very good base for cycling, and the Sunrise Trek up Mt Batur (be prepared for a 2.30am pick-up!)
Well worth a second visit - we will be returning in May 2018.

Permaculture and tradional village concept.
The permaculture gardens and rice paddies set in a high standard resort is amazing . Staff are exceptional in their friendliness.

What a fabulous family experience.
I was looking for somewhere to stay for my 50th birthday. Travelled as a family of five with three daughters, youngest 8yrs old.
Fabulous resort and cultural experiences included for children. Ploughing the rice paddies, collecting eggs, etc.
The restaurant served the best food we ate in Bali on our two week trip. Flavours and presentation amazing. Catered to my eldest daughter vegetarian and non spicy needs.
Middle daughter was sick with tonsillitis and they helped get a doctor to visit and made sure we had everything needed.
Super clean rooms, large bedrooms. Pools and gardens spotless. Would definitely stay again.
